"Came through for lunch and the atmosphere was absolutely amazing as we were seated on the outside balcony area, so there wasn’t any traffic. The service was a bit slow, we were seated upon arrival but we were not allocated with anyone to help us, after waiting so long we had to call for help for ourselves, which we were then pleasantly assisted by Sphesihle throughout. The food and drinks were amazing. Would definitely recommend this place but hope for more attentiveness."

"After a tiring 2-hour drive, this was the perfect stop! The food was delicious, the café had a really nice setup (very cozy), and the views were great. Highly recommend for a relaxing break!"

"A great spot for anyone who enjoys good coffee & desserts in a relaxed atmosphere. One of the standout features is the parking which is safe secure and extremely convenient making it stress free to visit at any time. Their Belgian hot chocolate is absolutely incredible and easily their signature item rich indulgent and perfectly made. The dessert menu is insane with a wide variety of options that are beautifully presented and reasonably priced sitting comfortably in the medium range without feeling overpriced. The space itself is inviting and ideal for spending time with friends or family. The only reason I am giving four stars instead of five is due to the service experience. I was seated upstairs while all the waiters remained downstairs and no one could see me which resulted in a wait of about fifteen minutes before I was attended to. Also there’s no AC, making the place super hot Overall Next Coffee is still a place worth visiting and enjoying especially if you live in Pietermaritzburg. With great drinks desserts and excellent parking it is a solid go to spot and with improved service upstairs it would easily be a five star experience."

"This futuristic Café was my go-to for luscious meals, gratifying cakes and amazing coffee in 2024! Next Coffee Café has such an aesthetic look and feel to it, that instantly makes you feel comfortable and cozy. The Café is frequented by students and professionals due to its work stations and accompanying outlets to charge your laptop and phones. These work stations give you an incredible, uninterrupted view of the horses across the road. The Café has a tennis court opposite it, for a quick work-out, in case you feel you put on a a few kgs with their delectable food. It also has a drive-thru in case you need to just grab a coffee and run. On weekdays, they are open from 6 am- 6pm, and on weekends, they trade up to 10 pm! I have ordered a variety of meals from their menu.Their Chicken Fajita quesadilla, Chicken & Mayo Toasted Sandwich, & Smavo Toast. These dishes were served with kettle fried chips, which were so flavourful and a unique take on chips in a meal at a restaurant. Cake slices: Lotus Biscoff, Chocolate Ganache, Ferrero Rocher & Tiramisu. Drinks: Signature Next Iced Coffee, Lotus Biscoff Milkshake & Mango Fruity Freezo. I also tried their Almond Croissants, which were heavenly. Their bakery has an assortment of other cakes, croissants, macaroons & cookies which are baked daily and always fresh! It costed approximately R100-R150 a person. I could not fault any meal. Everything was ambrosial and my favourite cake slice, which I ordered everytime I visited Next, was the Lotus Biscoff. Definitely something not to miss! This is the only establishment I have visited that gives its customers Lindt chocolates with their purchases, whether you eat in or order from the drive-thru! Their service, ambience and attention to detail is exceptional! The Café has its own restrooms and free ample free parking. It is also Halaal. Definitely a Café to visit!"

"Next Coffee and Nextaly serve absolutely delicious food bursting with amazing flavors, and their desserts and drinks are just as irresistible! Friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere make it a great spot. Service could be a bit quicker with seating and check-ins, and pizza at Nextaly can take time — but the taste is well worth the wait!"

"Went with a friend for lunch. The experience was excellent! Our waitress was friendly and the rest of the staff too. Our drinks were good. The best iced mocha I've ever had!! Our food was equally delicious and we didn't wait too long for it. It arrived quick, fresh and the perfect temperature. A variety of baked goodies to choose from and we were very happy with our choices. The place is also very pretty."
